One of the top concerns for any boat or yacht owner is to avoid damage to the hull when docking and berthing the vessel. The Fend Off medium duty dock fender is an excellent solution to protecting your boat from scrapes, scratches and gouges, all of which lead—sooner or later—to a need for costly repairs. Our marine dock bumpers are all designed to provide the maximum in protection with a reasonable price and lasting value. The medium duty dock fender provides a protective barrier between your hull and hard surfaces like concrete pilings, seawalls, and docks of all types. Designed for boats up to 80’ in length, this product is useful protection to prevent collisions between your hull and damaging surfaces. While dock fenders can be made from a multitude of materials and come at many price points, Fend Off dock fenders are specially designed, using tested and durable materials to give you a bumper that it not only nice to look at but which also provides years and years of protection. We use a specialized UV stabilized flexible PVC shell, made to withstand the elements and everything the marine environment can throw at it, along with spun polyester fiber; mounted onto 2x4 recycled plastic lumber, our boat dock bumpers resist marring, and are impervious to water, salt, oil, gasoline, and marine boring creatures. Careful design means that our fenders will take wear and tear for years without breaking under the pressure. The medium duty dock fender comes in standard lengths of 6’, 8’, 10’, and 12’, with 316 stainless steel full annular ring shank nails for fasteners. We can also provide custom fenders upon request—call for a quote. When it comes to marine dock bumpers, materials matter. While some companies can offer light protection in a variety of materials ranging from vinyl and rubber to foam, our materials are easy to use as well as environmentally friendly—and they protect for years. Made in the USA, our bumpers come with a three-year warranty, although they will last you much longer even under the toughest berthing conditions. Using recycled plastic lumber in our mountings is a point of pride for Fend Off dock fenders. Many materials used for dock bumpers include components that can leech harmful chemicals into the water and environment; recycled plastic dock lumber is not only durable and tough, but it does not have the preservatives and additives that are often used in other products. Recycled plastic lumber also releases fewer pollutants into the environment than the virgin plastic production industry, and provides a use for the already-used plastic that would otherwise build up in landfills. Our PVC shell is also unique, and provides a lasting, environmentally-friendly alternative to many other materials. Resistant and durable in the face of the harshest marine environment, it will provide you with years of protection from collisions between your hull and hard surfaces ranging from concrete piling to seawalls and docks of various materials and compositions. The shock absorption potential is great and doesn’t wear out quickly the way many other materials tend to do. Protecting your vessel from costly damage is a major priority for many boat and yacht owners. While it’s impossible to prevent all scratches, scrapes, dents and gouges, taking the best precautions you can is an important step towards avoiding the cost of repeated maintenance and overhaul to your vessel. By making sure that you buy marine dock bumpers that offer a high value for the cost and the maximum in protection, you can prevent a wide range of expensive costs associated with maintaining your boat or yacht. While some people consider boat dock bumpers almost as an afterthought—sometimes not even truly considering them until after damage has already been done—buying the best you can afford is a wise step to preventing future calamities from happening. Choose a boat dock bumper that will give you the protection you want for a long time to come with an affordable cost.
